THE JOURNEY SO FAR
As my first post on my blog ,i would like to drop you guys hints on my life and career so far,and for the records i wasnt born with a silverspoon so you know what that means,yes i had to hustle things on my own to get what i want.
Alot of my fanz ,friends and family be asking me,mr kkdlegend how would you describe your life in this industry so far,i just answer them with three words Blood,Sweat and tears.
For the record have been in the entertainment industry proffessionally,for about seven years now,right from when i started acting on stage and performing as a musician with my now defunct hip hop group Team Of Legends in my city of birth port harcourt the capital city of the bay area Rivers state,Nigeria,In and industry that offers you no help what so ever,were there are no room for dulling or mediocraty,so my key word was ''kk you got to be the best improve,improve and keep improving''
My first performance on stage was at the age of 10 with my lil bro now rapper chizyblaze,we performed michael jackson's Bad,bought my first instrument at age 12 a lil keyboard, my first competition was in the street 2 star talent hunt reality show were i competited with now stars like Timaya,tonto dike etc in the 2003 set,my first song i wrote it when i was 11 in secondary school,it was a rap song titlEd 'we go make am,' ever since have been writing songs for upcoming acts,churches, and athems for social clubs, my dad never liked what my creative prowers cause to him its too rascaleous,well old story for its same with possibly every entertainer at the come up stage so i don't give a damn to his criticism,dont get me wrong i love and respect my parents and family alot,but my career is something i dont joke with,and to make things cool i was a brillient kid at school so dad respected my sense of judgement ,and besides i worked hard both as a student,as an entertainer and an aspiring entrepreneur, now i am lucky and blessed with a degree B.A in theatre arts at the imo state university, and a certificate in film production at the Niger delta youth development programme,
In my life as an entertainer i made friends with top celebs,but that does not guarentee your place at the top .cause you have to make your footprints to gain respect from your colleague and fans especially so i kept upgrading and increasing my fan base,i recorded my first song with my group TOL, titled 'e do bizzle' recording done at the fixpoint studios ,dline phcity
My history wont be complete if i dont mention my team and colleagues at school Okentulu,cchain,dabizzy,illtothts,xavier,urchmouth,egbeigwe,izzo,wakax,dj dunk,dj mas,dj flow,don cast.jsmark,egbeigwe,Lmg,nnamdi amadi,posh kayana,Cruzi, this friends alongside me were members of the celeb comunity at school they made school hustle fun we did lots of shows together, and in my neighbourhood friends like dj pax,maxi chocomilo,wacomzy,kokomikor,Mkaze etc ,My new team KIC entertainment crew Cchain and Izzo thd rapper together we have been building an empire.
My name is kkdlegend ok its Ekene chris kelechi Ezeokafor and am from anambra state,second in a family of four siblngs to mr and mr ezeokafor,I have always wanted to Live in the city of lagos and pursue my dream so i left my family and moved to lagos in a bid to take my dreams to the next level to this effect i released my second song as a solo artiste titled Run things produced by Reflex under my management kIC entertainment, of my upcoming sophomore album project the song was released on the internet download here http://www.reverbnation.com/kkdlegend and the song was released to djs and clubs and radio stations in lagos all in 2011
AS an actor i have featured in alot of stage plays produced by the rivers states art and culture troupe ,imo state university theatre and Rosy art theatre,and actded in few soap opera,and directed few plays,now you can agree with me when i say have come a long way in the entertainment industry,lost some friends to death,made haters love me,well not all of them.
